We are a busy tour boat operator working from Ilfracombe harbour offering coastal and wildlife cruises.

**Job description**

We are looking to recruit a full time master for our busy wildlife tours based in Ilfracombe. The position is on our 14 meter Gemini Catamaran which is licensed for 100 passengers under the MCA class 5 regulations. We run a selection of short trips focusing on wildlife tours from Ilfracombe Harbour from April until the end of October. As master your daily tasks would include the safe and timely operation of the vessel, commentary on trips, planned and unplanned maintenance, crew training and refuelling duties. The vessel is lifted out in November and relaunched in March and during this period there would be a programme of winter works which would be suited to someone with a good understanding of vessel maintenance. The position is salaried and you would be paid during the winter months whilst the expected hours worked would be considerably less than in the summer months.

Interested parties must hold:
MCA Boat master or above as a minimum
Valid unrestricted ENG1 medical
In date STCW basic training certificates in sea survival and fire fighting as a minimum
VHF Radio operators certificate
Clean drivers licence
MCA radar course is desirable
MCA stability course is desirable

Starting salary is £36k and a bonus would be paid for meeting KPIs across the season.
