**Job Title: Bandsaw Operator**

**Salary: £25,000-£26,000 plus monthly target bonus**

**Location: Annesley**

- 22.30 (30 Minute Lunch Break).

Working for a family friendly engineering company The Bandsaw Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining bandsaw machines to cut materials to specific dimensions and shapes.

This role involves precise cutting, adherence to safety standards, and routine maintenance of the equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
**Machine Setup and Operation**:

- Set up and calibrate bandsaw machines for cutting tasks according to work orders and specifications.

**Material Preparation**:

- Select and prepare the appropriate material for cutting based on job requirements.

Secure materials on the bandsaw table and align them for precise cutting.

**Quality Control-** Inspect and measure cut materials to ensure they meet the required specifications and tolerances.

Identify and address any defects or deviations during the cutting process.

**Maintenance and Troubleshooting:

- ** Perform routine maintenance on bandsaw machines, including blade changes and lubrication.

Troubleshoot and resolve minor mechanical issues to minimize downtime.

**Safety and Compliance:

- ** Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.

Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and maintain a clean and organized work area.

**Documentation and Reporting:

- ** Maintain accurate records of production, including material usage, cuts made, and machine performance.

Report any issues or discrepancies to the supervisor promptly.

**Team Collaboration**: - Work closely with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and production goals are met.

**Qualifications and Skills**:
Proven experience as a bandsaw operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment.

Basic mechanical skills and the ability to perform minor repairs and adjustments.

Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.

**Physical Requirements**:
Ability to lift and handle materials

Standing, walking, and operating machinery for extended periods.

Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
