**BID Assistant Role Profile**
Newquay BID is looking for an exceptional individual who is organised and passionate about seeing Newquay thrive. Working with local businesses and stakeholders, you will want to make a difference to help the BID Manager deliver the town centre business plan that focuses on driving footfall and supporting future growth within Newquay and its businesses.
You will be an ambassador for BID engaging with all members with a positive and can-do attitude with everything you do. You will be working in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment to promote Newquay as a leading UK destination to ultimately boost footfall, and spending and attract investment for the businesses supported by the BID.
For this role, previous professional digital marketing and social media experience is required. A working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Mailchimp and WordPress is beneficial.
**Job, Duties and Responsibilities**
**Copywriting, digital marketing, and social media skills (60%)**
Writing, designing, and scheduling social media posts for Newquay BID
Creating a bi-weekly business newsletter using Mailchimp
Writing and sending out effective press releases to local journalists
Updating the Love Newquay website pages using WordPress
**Day-to-day administrative processes and office-based skills (30%)**
Organise schedule and attend meetings
Maintain contact lists and database
Produce agendas, reports and minute taking
**Engaging and liaising with member businesses and suppliers (10%)**
Support the BID Manager with driving a positive strong inclusive relationship with all BID levy payers, with an open-door policy
Event support and representation at BID events, sometimes over the weekend

This role is 20 hours per week flexible over 5 days, Monday to Friday, with weekend availability for events where time in lieu will be given. Competitive hourly rate based on experience.
