Belle Lapidi / Walsh Funerals & Memorials is a family run Stone Masons & Funeral Directors based in West Midlands, with branches in Bloxwich & West Bromwich. We work throughout West Midlands & also supply headstones to memorial masons all across the UK.

At Belle Lapidi / Walsh Funerals & Memorials, we provide all aspects of Monumental Stone work from supply to installation, inscriptions and renovations. We pride ourselves in our friendly, sympathetic and trustworthy service. We have an exciting opportunity for 2 young motivated and eager apprentices to be developed into Memorial Masons & Memorial Artists. This opportunity to join our successful team will be perfect for someone who has recently left school, college or sixth form.

We require **2** enthusiastic, self-motivated and energetic apprentices to join our team of memorial masons working from our workshop in Bloxwich, Walsall.

We understand that this is not something that everyone would have experience in, so full training would be given. Although experience of working with stone may not be possible, we would prefer someone with artistic mindset or fine art skills. The reason for this is the apprentices will be taught how to sandblast lettering onto headstones, paint the artwork and detail and use their creative skills to produce finished monuments.

In addition to this, other aspects of monumental masonry may also be required (training will be given) that involve carving, polishing, fixing & warehouse tasks.

Apprenticeship will be a 3 year course.

The successful applicant will be:
*Fairly physically fit.

*Desire for working in outdoor and workshop environment.

*Some level of artistry skills although not compulsory.

You will also:
*Be an enthusiastic, self-motivated, creative and energetic person.

*Posses a “can do” attitude.

*Understand this is a physically demanding job.

*Possess good attention to detail.

*Be able to work as part of a close-knit team.

All uniform, PPE, tools and training will be provided.

5 days (40 hours) per week with weekend work available.

Working hours 8:00am-4:30pm. Option of overtime & Saturdays is always available.
