**Job title**:Early Careers & Skills Instructor (Machinist)

**Location**:Barrow

**Salary**: £41,997 - £45,079 Depending on experience

**What you’ll be doing**:

- Deliver outstanding teaching, learning and assessment practices to apprentices and tradespeople that engage and inspire learners to fulfil their individual potential and develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours to successfully progress into the business.
- Design and develop learning content as part of a blended learning pedagogy focused on delivering vocational excellence.
- Design & develop training packages to meet the demands of new innovations in technology or equipment to meet business needs.
- Coach employees and apprentices to reach their full potential by providing key support, mentoring, challenge and motivation throughout all aspects of their learning journey.
- Assess and monitor learner progress & performance in line with the apprenticeship frameworks/ standards and the occupational expectations of the business.

**Your skills and experiences**:
Essential:

- Excellent knowledge of drilling and /or machining in the use of lathes and milling machinery (manual/CNC)
- Skilled time served as a Machinist/ fitter/ turner to a minimum of SVQ/NVQ 3 or equivalent, including academic qualifications.

Desirable:

- Training & Development qualifications L3 (desirable) or prepared to work toward.
