**About the role**:
The BRC Senior Administrator will play a central supporting role in the core BRC management group and with appropriate guidance be responsible for the development, expansion and support of administrative systems and activities within this area. This exciting new role will appeal to those who are self-motivated, enthusiastic and keen to build a career in research administration.

The NIHR Leicester BRC is a partnership between the University of Leicester, University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust, Loughborough University and the University Hospitals of Northamptonshire NHS Group. It has been funded £26.1 million to carry out pioneering research into medical advancements into illnesses linked to respiratory and infectious diseases, cardiovascular diseases, and type 2 diabetes, personalised cancer prevention and treatment, Environment - looking at how the environment impacts on long term health conditions - and Using data to better understand multiple long term health conditions and factors specific to the health of ethnic minority populations. chronic kidney disease and the consequences of inactivity will continue to push boundaries of knowledge in clinical medicine.

Our overall purpose is to translate scientific breakthroughs in these areas into diagnostic tests, preventions and life-saving treatments for our patients. We do this by creating a collaborative workspace that allows scientists and clinicians to share their findings and deliver research that is relevant to both patients and the professionals who treat them.

**About you**:
You will be committed to high standards, have relevant experience in a comparable setting and be a proficient user of Microsoft Office. You must be able to work with a high level of attention to detail in order to accurately work with information and maintain records. With a proactive approach to work and passion for administrative service you will have excellent written, oral and interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You will have good time management skills and a professional approach to work (including maintaining confidential information), as well as a willingness to learn and adapt as part of growing team. We are particularly interested in hearing from individuals who are innovative, enthusiastic and keen to develop.
