Freight Clerk

**The Isle of Man Steam Packet Company are looking for a full-time Freight Clerk working the equivalent of 37.5 hours per week on a 4 days on 2 days off shift basis., 4 day shifts followed by 2 days off then 4 late shifts. The day shifts run 0900-1800 and the late shifts run from 1800 - 0300. Saturday and Sunday day and late shift hours are reduced.**

**Essential Duties**:

- **Checking in trailers and trade cars for freight and passenger ships**:

- **Making bookings for freight vehicles**:

- **Weighing trailers on the electronic weighbridge**:

- **Good, clear communication with ship and shore**:

- **Ability to work under pressure in a Port environment over busy periods**:

- **Compiling a freight list of trailers to be shipped with the IOM Freight Office**:

- **Working to a deadline on each sailing**:

- **Processing vehicles transferred from the Passenger side of the Port**:

- **Other duties assigned by management**:

- **Leave coverage if required**
