We have close links with our tertiary referral centres at the Public Health England, Newcastle. The Trust is working collaboratively with other Trusts in the Tees Valley and wider North East, North Cumbria Network to provide sustainable services for the future and is embracing the use of digital technology.
The Pathology department at North Tees and Hartlepool Hospitals (NTH) is working collaboratively with South Tees Hospital (STH) to develop a joint service called Tees Valley Pathology with services being delivered on all hospital sites and as it progresses will require colleagues to support cross site working.
The out-of-hours microbiology service is already shared with South Tees Hospitals NHS Trust, with cross-site meetings occurring on a regular basis to discuss handover arrangements, rotas and clinical responsibilities.
