We are looking for talented HSE Associates to join our team specializing in Health and Safety for Engine Business Segment in Darlington.

This is a permanent contract working 37.5 hours per week. 8am -4:30pm Monday-Thursday and 8am-1:30pn on Friday.

Salary is £31,501 - 38,500.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

- Providing support cross-functionally to ensure compliance with Cummins internal requirements, applicable HSE regulations and industry standards.
- Contributing to daily HSE operations within the site providing support to find and solve issues.
- Assisting in hazard identification, environmental aspect identification and risk assessment programs to identify improvement opportunities and gaps in HSE compliance obligations.
- Participate in HSE incident management investigation and reporting, as well as the development of effective solutions.
- Assisting with training, skills development and internal communications related to hazard prevention and control for employees within the site.
- Collecting and analyzing data to understand key performance indicators and evaluate performance trends.

**Qualifications**

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

- Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline (preferably related the environment, occupational health and safety or engineering) (required)
- Knowledge of maintenance of the ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 50001 management systems (required)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good time management and ability to meet deadlines.
- You will have the drive to and enthusiasm to proactively influence the Health, Safety and Environmental Culture
- Collaborative Skills
- Good at building relationships across a range of stakeholders with a desire to meet shared objectives.
