**The Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive to join our law firm and help us tackle a variety of civil litigation cases. **Key Responsibilities:
The key responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

- To manage all client work allocated by the Head of Department in accordance with detailed procedures and quality standards contained in the practice’s office manual.
- To ensure that all client work is progressed expeditiously and that the client is kept regularly informed on progress and on costs.
- At all times to exercise high standards of client care in a professional and pleasant manner.
- To ensure the confidentiality and security of all documentation and information of the practice and clients.
- To achieve agreed levels of billing and time recording.
- In close liaison with the Administration Department, to have overall responsibility for credit control on own matters.
- To comply with the SRA Standards and Regulations.
- To maintain clear and precise communications with other personnel in the practice.
- To ensure good working relationships with external institutions and organisations.
- To supervise, support and develop immediate support staff and fee earning staff as agreed with the Head of Department.
- In liaison with Head of Department and other Directors, to be active in promoting the services of the practice and its image and ethos.
- To carry out any other duties and responsibilities that may be required by the Directors.

**The Company
Bowsers are a firm of solicitors in Cambridgeshire, working from our offices in Wisbech and March. From here we provide a range of legal services covering Cambridgeshire, Lincolnshire and Norfolk.

**The Person
The key skills and qualities for this role are:

- Professional qualification as a Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive.
- Strong understanding of case law and legal research methods.
- Working knowledge of the legal system, laws and regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making and analytical skills.
- Organisational and time management skills.
