A highly creative, detail-focused, team-oriented designer with strong product development skills, trend awareness, and industry knowledge. You will be working closely and collaboratively with the Head of design, the design team and buying team to design and develop innovative, creative and commercial multi product collections for stores, wholesale and e-com.

**Responsibilities**
- Work collaboratively with the Design, Buying and Print teams from concept to completion aligning on seasonal direction, trends, timelines, and customer insights.
- Design products from concept through to CAD that are true to our brand and are commercial.
- Carry out trend and market research. Creating trend packs to illustrate direction, colour palettes, and themes collaboratively with the team.
- Capability and experience of building ranges that are balanced and true to the brand.
- Proactively monitor best/worst seller activity and suggest actions to help us to continually innovate.
- Alongside the Buying and Merch teams, shape the product range collections and help to drive Saltrock commercially through delivering a cohesive, profitable and on brand range.
- Be an ambassador of our Brand DNA. Exceed the Saltrock customers’ expectations of the brand.
- Designing products within parameters of the business strategy, sourcing strategy, price architecture, margins and selling prices through collaboration with Buying.
- Supporting sourcing strategy in collaboration with the buying team. Liaising with factories overseas. Need to be experienced developing product with a global supply base.
- Participate in fit sessions, ensuring the end designs are commercial.
- Create detailed Tech packs, with excellent understanding of garment construction, fabric & washes.

**The Individual**
- Excellent commercial acumen with the ability to identify new opportunities with excellent communication and presentation skills at all levels.
- Proficient in CAD -Adobe Illustrator skills are essential and a natural at drawing by hand.
- Excellent in communication, organisation, and time management skills
- Proactive, professional, flexible, and able to multi-task. Willing to roll your sleeves up.
- Experience of working in a similar brand would be ideal.
- Passion and enthusiasm for the brand with vision to push the brand forward.
- At least 4 or 5 years of fashion designing experience.
- You must have a commercial eye and be able to keep up to date with relevant trends to design successful ranges.
- Good level of English
- Real talent, proven through an amazing portfolio.
- Self starting but also enjoys working collaboratively and a good communicator

**Requirements**:

- Degree or equivalent in Product Design or equivalent experience.
- Experienced in a retail design environment within a lifestyle brand (desirable)

**IT skill level**
- Must have advanced skills/knowledge with Adobe CC - especially AI & PS
- Basic Excel
- Ability to design in illustrator is essential

**Contract details**
- Based in our Head Office in Braunton, North Devon
- Working hours are Mon-Fri, 8.30-5pm (you may be required to work longer hours when deadlines are crucial)
