**Introduction to the Role**

As an Employment Support Worker/Personal Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing assistance to the Social Science researcher/Lecturer, enabling them to effectively carry out their responsibilities. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to the empowerment and inclusion of individuals with disabilities.

**Main Purpose of the Job**
Your primary responsibility will be to support a senior social scientist working in gender equity and urban health including assisting with workload management, competing deadlines and general administration

**Detailed Responsibilities and Duties**
- To provide support in personal workplan development and management, including planning and prioritizing tasks, developing a workplan and monitoring progress against this
- Support with the preparation for research project and team meetings including agenda management, pre-meeting tasks, note taking and/or managing notes generated by AI, and management of follow up actions, including incorporating these into the workplan
- Proof-read documents, particularly those created using assistive software.
- Provide support with summarizing/producing executive summaries and reducing text/word counts in reports.
- Format formal and informal documents to a high standard e.g. reports, papers, teaching materials using templates and agreed approach (e.g. brand guidance and disability access principles)
- Use software to add academic references into a document
- Provide support with integrating assistive software into work management, including assisting with troubleshooting and using software to conduct tasks where appropriate
- With guidance on search terms and strategies, search for relevant academic papers and information and import into reference software, creating an appropriate filing system.
- Keep accurate records and report on outcomes.
- Stay updated on relevant issues and best practices in supported employment.
- Engage with colleagues and undertake training as needed.
- Perform any other reasonable tasks requested by the client

**General Responsibilities**
- To be an active member of the Generate staff team.

- To represent Generate positively in a variety of situations and respond professionally to general enquiries.
- Although normal office/ retail/ hospitality sector hours will apply, the post holder must be flexible in his/her hours to meet the needs of Generate.
- Keep records and report on outcomes of your work.
- Keep up to date with current issues and good practice in the field of the Access to Work program.
- Engage with support offered by colleagues and undertake training as required.
- Undertake any other reasonable task relevant to the work of the organization that may be requested by the management team.
