Our Perinatal and Maternal Mental Health Services at Midlands Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (MPFT) have seen substantial investment over recent years, resulting in the significant growth and expansion of our workforce. Our four services comprise of Brockington Parent and Baby Unit (In-patient), Shropshire Community Perinatal Service, South Staffordshire Community Perinatal Service and the Lotus Service (Maternal Mental Health Service). We are thrilled to be offering a new opportunity for an Operational Team Leader to work alongside the existing Operational Team Leader to manage two of the four services which are: the Lotus Service and South Staffordshire Perinatal Community Team.
The Staffordshire Community Perinatal Mental Health Team (PMHT) provides specialist assessment and support for women across South Staffordshire, providing clinical interventions to women experiencing mental health difficulties, and those at risk of developing mental health difficulties up to two years after baby's birth. The service supports women experiencing moderate to severe mental health conditions. The Maternal Mental Health Service provides assessment and treatment for women who have experienced loss, Tokophobia or moderate to severe anxiety associated with their maternity experience.
We are looking for someone who is able to demonstrate a passion in working within Perinatal and Maternal Mental Health Services. You will want to work closely with the existing Operational Team Leader, clinical colleagues and growing multidisciplinary team to drive forward service developments and innovation. You will be able to demonstrate experience in managing and leading teams, supporting individual staff needs and being efficient in the day to day running of both services including, meeting national targets and providing supervision, supporting staff to meet the clinical delivery of both services. You will be also responsible for delivering clinical work to maintain competencies and registration for 10% of your working time. You will also work in collaboration with the service manager and multi-professional partners to develop the provision and quality of maternal mental health and perinatal services for patients and their families.
Given the need to cover the geographical area, there will be an expectation you are able to drive. Whilst there will be an expectation that you have a visible presence in each of the services, there will be opportunities to negotiate flexible/hybrid working requests.
In return, you will be an integral and key member of the Perinatal Teams, Targeted Function and Children and Families Care Group. You will have dependable support from credible and experienced senior colleagues in operational and clinical roles.
By joining Team MPFT, you will be helping your communities and in return for this, we will support you by;
