**Your New Role**

Victoria Park has been at the heart of Portsmouth for over 140 years. The park has stood as a witness to over a century of change in Portsmouth and beyond, sometimes getting caught up in events and often providing sanctuary within its gates. In December 2021, following extensive local engagement, we were awarded £2.4m of National Lottery Heritage Funding to restore and revitalise the People’s Park. The works to provide a new community building - the 'Green House' - and wide-ranging infrastructure and planting improvement works are nearing completion and will ensure the park remains welcoming and inclusive for all its users.

We are looking to appoint a further part-time role to work alongside the current part-time Community Engagement Officer to deliver the Activity Plan of our project. As well as leading on community engagement you will liaise with relevant residents, schools and other organisations to deliver activities. You will organise and run project events and activities contracting suppliers, and working with the Communications Team to market and promote these. You will support the project manager in collecting project evaluation data and facilitate positive and effective partnerships with the clear objectives and measurable outcomes. You will also facilitate and manage meeting.

**What you'll need to succeed**

You will have experience of managing events and Community and stakeholder management. You will be a good communicator as you will be dealing with a variety of different organisations and stakeholders. Experience of working with volunteers and excellent literacy and numeracy is required due to the work involved in the role.
