We have an exciting opportunity to work within the education department at Bristol City Robins Foundation, lecturing and leading on our BTEC esports education programme.

**Teaching BTEC Level 3 in esports.**

**Salary Unqualified: £21,400-£22,750**

**Salary Qualified: £24,100-£30,000 (Depending on experience and qualifications)**

Bristol City Robins Foundation is a registered charity, which strives to make a positive difference for all through sport and learning. We recognise the positive impact we have on the community but are continually looking to develop and expand our reach.

We require a full time esports lecturer for our Post 16 BTEC Education programme working within the Education Department. The post holder will be based out of both Belong Gaming Area in Bristol City Centre, as well as City Academy school in Easton. Occasional meetings and parts of the role could also take you to Ashton Gate Stadium.

**Your Main Responsibilities**:

- To enthuse, motive and engage with young people.
- To deliver around 12 hours of BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in esports course to a group of 16-18 students which includes planning and marking along with reporting progress to parents and school partners.
- Where possible, to link theory to practice, facilitating students engaging with esports games within the weekly curriculum.
- To organise, facilitate and be accountable for students representing the club on competition days during the British esports Championships on Wednesdays.
- To facilitate and develop a work experience programme to support the student’s development within the esports industry
- To support the programme’s development, increasing the number of students we take on our programme through supporting recruitment in schools, clubs and at careers events during occasional evenings.
- To engage with local schools, businesses and organisations to build awareness of and involvement in the programme.
- To undertake appropriate continuing personal and professional development, including engagement in education programmes.
- To contribute to the timely review of the programme, ensuring development and growth of the programme.

**You will have**:

- A teaching qualification (or willing to work towards)
- An understanding and interest of the esports industry
- Experience in teaching or delivery of education programmes, specifically a BTEC specification, therefore you need to be of graduate calibre.
- Ability to deliver dynamic and challenging lessons which inspire students and ensure they make rapid and sustained progress at all levels.
- Ability to provide clarity, direction and inspiration of what can be achieved for post-16 students.
- Expect and uphold the highest standards of students in order to inspire students to work at target grade or higher.
- Be able to work under pressure, handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- An ability to set high personal standards and work calmly and effectively in an environment characterised by high level of ambiguity and complexity.
- Ability to communicate with staff, students and partners in a clear, concise and purposeful way to build effective relationships.

**We would also like you to have**:

- A positive, can-do attitude.
- A sound understanding of multiple games played within the gaming and esports industry
- A D1 on your driving license allowing you to drive a minibus.
- Experience with a range of ages and students/participants.
