**Itchenor Sailing Club**

**Position: Front of House Manager**

**Reporting to: General Manager**

**Overview**:
The House Manager is responsible for overseeing the day to day running and operational planning of all aspects of the Club’s integrated hospitality services, including bar, catering, events and accommodation.

Servicewill be the key focus area, ensuring exceptional service and standards across all areas for our members and visitors. You will thrive on getting the best out of your team and maximising commercial opportunities. You will recruit, manage, train, motivate and appraise staff and develop a positive team culture within the workplace, making it a great place to work.

The House Manager will be the ‘front of house’ and be required to predominantly work weekends, especially during the sailing season and be on site during large events.

**Responsibilities, including but not limited to**:

- Ensure the smooth running of the house operation
- Provide excellent leadership for staff and to maintain good morale in the team and across the club
- Ensure all house staff have a training programme to support the delivery of agreed objectives
- Ensure all house staff understand and comply with House Health and Safety policies, statutory regulations, examples to include hygiene, fire regulations, COSHH.
- Manage the provision of food for members and visitors in accordance with the Club’s published programme and providing adequate flexibility to deal with the unpredictable nature of sailing events.
- Manage the provision of full catering service for formal dinners, catering services for members’ private functions and non-ISC functions in the Club, to include corporate events and weddings.
- Provide general administration as required including but not limited to staffing rotas, invoicing, events, menu, and pricing displays.
- Ensure appropriate stock ordering is maintained for all activity across the house and manage agreed stocktaking schedule in conjunction with ensuring minimum wastage.
- Manage the accommodation/ housekeeping function.

**Experience and skills**:

- Excellent leadership and communication skills are essential in conjunction with a good understanding of financial management
- IT literate
- A detailed knowledge and proven experience in all relevant health and safety and food hygiene regulatory requirements
- **A competitive, negotiable salary package is available and will be based on experience.**

Pay: £25,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
