Overview:
The Steward will be expected to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and manage the day-to-day running of the Club including leading and managing existing and future staff.

Hours - 15-20 hours a week of which some will be Management focused tasks such as rostering, stock management & administration.Additional hours may be necessary to cover shifts for holidays, sickness etc.

Exact hours and rate of pay to be discussed at interview stage.

Summary of duties and responsibilities:

- Work selected hours behind the bar and be flexible to work additional hours for bar cover in the event of staff sickness and holiday
- Be a Keyholder for the Club and work to ensure a "never closed" business approach in conjunction with the Management Team.
- Build an excellent working relationship with the Management Team developing a high level of trust and teamwork. Interact with Members to develop loyalty and handle any concerns.
- Promote and ensure the Clubs reputation is protected whilst dealing with local Residents, Contractors or other businesses.
- Plans and manages the purchase of wet and dry stock ensuring that not only is sufficient stock always available but that stock is in date and correctly rotated as well.
- Plans and implements an auditable stock control system and maintains appropriate records relating to wastage & consumption.
- Supervises all of the work performed by all bar staff and club cleaners, with the responsibility for all of their work carried out.
- Ensures there is always sufficient and appropriate staffing available,maintains the monthly staff rota and ensures that staff are fully trained in all aspects of bar work.
- Assesses and continually monitors any maintenance and cleanliness of the club, and looks to address and resolve all related concerns promptly.
- Records and responds promptly to any matters raised by members or their guests.
- Keeps sensitive information confidential and informs the committee of matters requiring their attention.
- Ensure that all security measures are maintained, such as closing/locking doors, windows and setting the security alarm, are consistently performed by all relevant staff.
- Ensure that staff are always smart and presentable and able to engage well with their customers.
- Attends the monthly committee Management Team meetings when required and is able to work with the Management Team suggesting andcreating new social events and have an understanding how to achievenew or different membership groups.
- Takes pride in a job well-done, committed to achieving high standards of service.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: £11.40-£14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 25 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
