The Strategy and Innovation team are seeing to recruit an experienced Band 5 Project Support Officer to join at an exciting time of innovation.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual who brings both organisation skills and rigour alongside the tenacity to succeed. You will play a vital part in the delivery of our transformation journey by providing support to the Head of Innovation, providing high-quality project, service, initiative, and administration support including information and analysis.

The post holder will undertake reporting and analysis of information to support service delivery, providing support, papers, minutes and actions for team meetings and formal governance meetings as required. The post-holder is a key member of the team whose overarching goal is to enable, promote, and support the effective use of data, information, knowledge, and technology to improve, inform and support a portfolio of projects, services, and initiatives.

Working knowledge of all Microsoft office packages is essential. The ability to prepare communication materials on the overall innovation programme for internal and external use would be a considerable advantage.

Knowledge of project methodology is desirable, or willing to learn and develop in this area.

The post holder will work directly for the PMO Lead, providing support to the Integrated Planning Team and Centre of Integrated Planning ( CoiP ), including Executive SROs, Technical Leads and occasionally working with SME ’s from our external customer base.

The role is an essential component of the on-going delivery of robust project arrangements, including planning and co-ordinating delivery across the local customer base and sits within Strategy and Innovation for purposes of day to day work.

The post holder will carry out any other duties as may reasonably be required by their line manager

Main duties of the job

Planning and Organisation

Support implementation of project, service, initiative through timely and relevant information analysis and administrative support, in accordance with the agreed priorities of the Team.
Deliver against agreed objectives, achieving quality outcomes.
Prepare governance papers, reports and associated materials that can be utilised in effective meeting management
Organise meetings or events and assist in the diary management requirements of individuals in connection with portfolio of work.
Prepare communication materials on the overall innovation program for internal and external use.
