Social and PR Officer

We have pleasure of working alongside a charity that really does make a difference, they are looking for some one to join as a key member of the communications team to help drive their success forward,

Within this role you will be looking to raise the charities profile through creating engaging and captivating content, with this role you will be working as part of an experienced team as well as other partner teams to best achieve success of the projects
- Day to day management of social media channels, following trends and engaging to content. (this may include some out of office hours)
- Work autonomously or collaboratively as part of team internally and with external departments
- Build and maintain relationships with key media by keeping abreast of relevant stories and their writers and proactively reaching out
- Assist in the evaluation of PR and press campaign activity
- Act as the first point of contact for office hours media enquiries, filtering through relevant requests for interviews and comment to appropriate personnel.
- Write and produce digital copy, press releases, statements, announcements and quotes for media distribution, and creating for charity channels such as the website, newsletters or corporate marketing assets
- Support the Senior Press and PR Officer in building a bank of case studies which can be used for press, social and digital purposes

**Experience**

Essential
- Experience and understanding of using digital channels as part of the communications mix and how to create positive engagement in the digital channel space
- Knowledge of how to develop a social strategy and supporting content which resonates with target audiences
- Practical experience of social channel management on behalf of a charity or organisation
- Demonstrable understanding of digital and social KPIs
- Practical experience in proactively and re actively liaising with media, digital and/or traditional
- Ability to write strong copy and create engaging digital content
- Excellent written and oral skills
- Ability to work under pressure and mange competing priorities and tight deadlines

**Skills & Knowledge** Essential
- A competent and credible communicator to various audiences at different levels.
- A creative approach
- A flexible team working approach

Desirable
- Previous experience in the health/allergy related field

two days at home per week with three days in the office.
