A major player within Financial Services & Payment Processing is seeking an Analytics Engineer, to contribute to a major Transformation project, as well as providing additional analysis & reporting.
**THE COMPANY**:
This FinTech is a major player within the Financial Services, with a broad range of offerings across Investments, Credit & Payment Processing. As they grow, they wish to ensure their Data Infrastructure stays cutting edge, and so are migrating data to anew Snowflake platform, with Tableau front-end.
**THE ROLE**:
As an Analytics Engineer you'll be responsible for Transforming the back-end system through Data Modelling and Engineering, as well as performing Analytics & Reporting where requested.
In specific, you can expect to be involved in the following:
- Analysing the current data flows throughout the business and using dbt to direct data towards the new Snowflake environment
- Improving existing and writing new data pipelines & models with SQL & dbt
- Offering additional suggestions as to how the Data Platform can be improved or functionality added
- Responding to stakeholder requirements by producing sophisticated Tableau reports and analysis
**YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE**:
The successful Analytics Engineer will have the following skills and experience:
- Clear demonstrable experience working to develop & transform Cloud Data Platforms
- Advanced understanding of Data Warehousing and Engineering principles
- Strong SQL scripting skills, ideally within Snowflake
- Experience working with a visualisation tool, with proven experience creating reports and dashboards from scratch
Any experience with dbt and/or Tableau would be highly advantageous
**THE BENEFITS**:
The successful Analytics Engineer will receive £450-550 per day over an initial 6-month period.
