We are currently looking for a Buying Assistant to join our Commercial team.

The purpose of the role is sit as part of our Imports team and to give direct systems support to the Import category.

Daily responsibilities include:

- Provide comprehensive support to the Import team
- End to end set up of new import products
- Accurately inputting data for new articles, managing product launches from WMS - NPI forms to digital assets & web product data
- Liaising with suppliers to collect data to enable new lines to be set up
- Communicating with new suppliers and ensuring new vendor set ups are completed accurately and with pace
- Completing regular competitor shops and updating of pricing monitor tools
- Maintenance of system based product catalogue
- Collaboration with the Marketing department to generate information for in-store price tickets
- Promotion set up to allow processing of discounts in store
- Cost and Retail price change implementation and maintenance
- Review and amendment of weekly reports
- Weekly update of supplier lead times
- Point of contact for all store colleague product detail queries for imports
- Managing of store colleague commission queries
- User acceptance testing of new addition data output to in store till systems

**Skills needed**

We are looking for a Buying Assistant with the following skills, experience and attributes to be successful in this role:

- Previous experience in a buying / marketing administration role
- Experience in data management / Product Information Management related systems is desirable
- Previous experience working in a similar sector (retail) is desirable
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders
- Good knowledge of standard Microsoft packages
- Strong team player
- Proven experience of multi-tasking with the ability to work under own initiative
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong commercial awareness
- Great organisational and time management skills
