Behaviour Mentor

Empowering Learning are looking for a **Student Behaviour Mentor to work in a fantastic** **SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) setting situated in Derbyshire **Experience working in a school setting and experience with SEND pupils is favourable. Experience within the youth work or sports coaching sectors may also be considered. The resilience and a caring nature are essential for the role in this school.
- Have experience working with young people
- Be highly organised with excellent communication skills

- **Have an interest in supporting young people with a variety of SEND**:

- Have experience supporting children with additional needs (desirable not essential)
- Be able to supply school with teaching references
- Be a part of the school team taking part in the wider school environment
- **Have an understanding of behavioural management**
- Supporting the behavioural and pastoral needs of young people
- Supporting the class teacher and other teaching assistants in the day to day running of the class
- Supporting children during lessons/school activities
- Supporting staff/children during lunch and break times
- Managing pupils personalised learning based on their individual need.
- Delivering 1:1 or small group activities
- Collecting evidence of children’s work to support their assessment
- Providing physical management and care of pupils
- You will be paid a competitive daily wage, based on your experience

Pay: £80.00-£90.00 per day
