**The Company is one of the UK’s leading independent aerospace and industrial forgers.** The unique feature is the combination of open and closed-die forging while also undertaking the whole production process from raw material to the finished product in one location. Operating from a 680 000ft2 facility in Sheffield, we manufacture high-integrity, open-die and closed-die forged components in nickel alloy, titanium, stainless steel and carbon alloys for customers and tier-one suppliers within the aerospace, nuclear, power generation, marine as well as oil and gas sector.

**The Role...**

Reporting to the Production Control Manager, you will prioritise and plan workload on forge production units, based on requirements of Production Control.

**Key Responsibilities...**
- Implementing and maintaining the computerised planning system to maintain departmental production schedules, forecast sales, customer update information.
- Daily liaison with production departments to ensure plan is maintained or issues are reported and acted on appropriately.
- Management and expediting of orders from order receipt to despatch, including communication with NPI team prior to production.
- Work with wider production control team to ensure all ancillary functions are kept at an appropriate standard. This can include but is not limited to stock control, management of sub-contractors, liaising with customers and continuous improvement projects covering a wide range of activities.
- Responsible for paperwork control, issue of paperwork to operations.
- Feedback progress to business and management team.
- Take reasonable care of own health and safety, and that of others who may be affected by their acts or omissions at work, co-operate with others in the company to fulfil our statutory duties and not interfere with, misuse or wilfully damage, anything provided in the interest of health and safety.

- Educated to 5 GCSE’s A-C or equivalent, including Maths and English.
