Reed Finance are partnered with a world-leading organisation in Cambridge to recruit a permanent Global Credit Manager.

The organisation are linked to the University of Cambridge and currently going through an exciting period of growth. As Credit Manager you will manage a large team of direct and indirect reports.

Responsibilities will include:

- Lead and motivate the credit control team in a global, multi-currency business. Manage customer cashflow and mitigate bad credit risk through pro-active collections practices.
- Produce monthly aged debt and bad debt provision. Provide reporting and commentary to wider business around key risks, supplying any recommendations from a position of knowledge
- Support single ERP rollout and other transformation enhancement projects. Identify strategic areas for improvement through technology and automation
- Develop modelling around KPIs, targets and cashflow forecasts that improves motivation and provides real time transparency
- Keep under regular review current ways of working and reporting, to ensure they are efficient and fit for purpose. Conduct route cause analysis of key factors that delay payment and undertake preventative measures where necessary
- Be responsible for all aspects of people management around professional development, wellbeing, performance, appraisals and new staffing. Ensure staff behaviours are consistent with Group guidance at all times.
- Conduct meetings and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. Develop constructive relationships with the wider business
- Be appropriately involved in contractual, regulatory and commercial considerations that present financial risk for new and existing customers.
- Ensure compliance to policy, process, GDPR and other legal requirements

Ideally you will have a number of years of experience in a credit control management role. Experience of managing larger teams would be beneficial as would strong systems and Excel skills.
