**About The Position**

If you are a Hydraulic Modeller looking for your next challenge we would love to hear from you. We are currently seeking a high-calibre and motivated Hydraulic Modeller to join our expanding Water Engineering Business Group to deliver consultancy services and develop engineering solutions for our clients across industries such as Industrial and Water. You will work closely with our highly skilled multi-disciplinary teams throughout the organisation and our clients to efficiently deliver projects and provide high value consultancy services.

You will be based in one of our UK offices.The Hydraulic Modeller reports to a Team Leader and collaborates with all stakeholders cross disciplines including client liaison to achieve ‘best for project’ outcomes. The right applicant will provide gravity hydraulic modelling for water and wastewater treament projects to allow site layout and civil design to progress.

**Responsibilities**:

- Accountable for the completion of all designated work to programme and budget.
- Collaborating as part of the Engineering / Project team to provide the best solution for the client.
- Provides detailed technical support to the less experienced engineers and is responsible for checking hydraulic design documents and ensuring high quality outputs.
- Interprets, organises, executes and coordinates gravity hydraulics assignments and the liaison with the wider design team.
- Liaison with the wider design team and clients on the gravity hydraulic scope and calculations / conclusions.
- You will have a good awareness of HSEQ, including duties under CDM and best professional practice
- You will be committed to your own Professional and Personal Development.

**Specific Experience, Skills & Knowledge**
- Proven experience in delivering full pipe and open channel hydraulic calculations and hydraulic profiles in the water industry with a good understanding of applicable industry methods and standards.
- Experience of water and waste-water process units within hydraulic calculations to include but not be limited to inlet works, primary settlement, secondary and tertiary treatment, gravity de-sludge systems, flocculation / clarification processes, rapid gravity filters, clarifiers, contact tanks, gravity outfall.
- The ability to plan, lead and coordinate hydraulic schemes and liaise with other disciplines and the wider project team.
- Ensure hydraulic project technical & commercial outcomes and client expectations are met
- Experience with using and checking the output from United Utilities Hades hydraulic modelling software advantageous

**Qualifications / Skills**
- Chartered Engineer (or approaching) advantageous, at Corporate Member grade of relevant engineering institution (i.e. ICE).
- The ability to be client facing, presenting and discussing hydraulic calculation and profile from methodology to final results
- A proactive and collaborative attitude
- Must have proven relevant experience including experience with clients within the the UK water industry
- You will have excellent collaboration skills and the ability to build solid working relationships internally and with key stakeholders
- Proven ability to build positive relationships across diverse teams and client groups
- Project a professional image to clients and colleagues.
- Able to work collaboratively to form strong working relationships with colleagues and clients.
- Able to recognise own impact on others and adapt approach where appropriate.
