**About the role** Balfour Beatty **have an exciting opportunity for a **General Foreman **to join our **Regional Civils **team based in **Plymouth**.

**Regional Civils** undertake projects from **East coast to West Coast, from the south coast to the borders of Scotland**.

As a **General Foreman** you will manage the safe delivery of allocated worksites and projects to the required specification and quality standard; whilst achieving contract programme milestones, approved margin and cash forecasts.

**What you'll be doing**
Some other key areas will include:
- Inputting into the production of Work Package Plans and Risk Assessments
- Providing suggestions and recommendations for Temporary Works solutions
- Identifying potential hazards and proactively implement actions and controls
- Through observation and liaison with the workforce and subcontractors suggests improvement areas
- Ensuring plant is adequate for the task prior to being used
- Monitoring the performance of plant operators and appointed persons

**Who we're looking for**
You will have the following
- Experience within **Highways & Civils**:

- Relevant industry experience at management level
- **Holds a valid UK driving license and CSCS Card**:

- Experience of monitoring key programme dates, e.g. TM switches, concrete pour dates etc.
