**Job Title**: Transport Administrator (Days or Nights)

**Job Location**: Coleford, Gloucestershire

**2 Shifts Available**: 4 on 4 off (12-hr days shifts) with Overtime opportunities / Sunday to Thursday nights with Overtime opportunities (21:00 - 06:00 or 18:00 - 03:00)

**Job Type**: Temp to Perm and Permanent contracts available

**SALARY: £24,000 - £26,500**

**The Role**:
An opportunity has arisen for a Transport Administrator to join the Operational Team of our client, a UK Leading Transport Company. The role will be to execute and develop the most cost effective and efficient transport plan for the operation which will meet with customer collection schedules.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Reporting directly to the Transport Supervisor you will:

- Utilise the Transport Management System to ensure that the scheduling of vehicles is carried out effectively and efficiently to achieve the optimum transport plan.
- Produce a daily transport plan that is both practical and achievable ensuring mínimal cost and maximum profitability.
- Plan to ensure that customer service criteria requirements are always met.
- Managing drivers’ hours and infringements.
- Daily execution of the plan, ensuring all collections are made on time in full.
- Managing and controlling sub-contraction requirement.
- Ensure that the plan is clearly communicated to all necessary parties and maintain regular contact with both internal and external customers.
- Liaise very closely with the Warehouse teams to achieve the most effective loading schedule.
- Liaise with other Wincanton sites to ensure optimum operating efficiency across the Wincanton network.

**Experience Required**:

- Experience of working in or alongside a Transport Team
- Analytical skills
- Good general PC skills
- Good verbal communication skills
- Good knowledge of driver’s hours and WTD
- Able to work under pressure in a time critical environment
- Ability to communicate at all levels with both internal and external customers
- Reliable, enthusiastic and flexible in approach.
- Working knowledge of WMS & Ortec (TMS) would be advantageous although full training will be given

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent, Temp to perm

**Salary**: £24,000.00-£26,500.00 per year
