**TRAINEE TRANSPORT PLANNER**

An opportunity has arisen with our Transport Team based in Penrith, Cumbria for a Trainee Transport Planner.

The purpose of this role is to gain and understanding and develop your skill on co-ordinating a fleet of Walking Floor Vehicles to meet their set objectives.

To carry out this role you will be trained in the following areas:

- Be the first point of contact for Customers
- Communicate with drivers to provide real time information on the status of deliveries
- Complete relevant administration, including the updating of information into our bespoke computer system.
- Provide drivers their daily workload
- Understand the operational and legislative aspects of UK road haulage
- Shadow the transport planners and provide cover when required

Possible training programs with be discussed at the interview stage..

**Salary**: £23,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
