**Salary: Salary dependent on experience**

**Hours: 9am - 5pm, One day per month**

**Contract: Permanent**

**Are you committed to improving the lives of pupils and young people? Underley Garden seeks an experienced Health and Safety Coordinator to join our team.**

**About the Role**

The Health and Safety Co-ordinator will support the Facilities Manager in their role of ensuring that the facilities team deliver a high quality, efficient, and collaborative support service to the Care and Education teams.

**Responsibilities**:

- To chair the organisation’s monthly Health & Safety Committee and ensure that named actions are carried out and reported upon.
- To hold the Facilities Manager to account for ensuring operational compliance with all necessary standards and legislation regarding the operation of the site.
- In conjunction with the Facilities Manager, ensure statutory checks are undertaken on boilers, plant etc. when required and that the required paperwork is in place for internal and external audits
- Ensure that the site is compliant in relation to the Independent School Standards as published by the Department for Education.
- To support the Facilities Manager in ensuring that appropriate Risk Assessments are in place across the site and that they are updated as per the organisations Health & Safety Policy. Our pupils and young people, staff, parents and other stakeholders.
- To support the operational teams in the delivery of an outstanding provision and ensuring that a comprehensive preventative planned maintenance programme is undertaken.
