Laboratory Analyst

Reed Scientific are recruiting for a Laboratory Analyst for our client based in Lincolnshire. They have been established for over 40 years and have an international presence. If you have recently graduated or have a few years of laboratory experience inindustry, this could be the ideal role for you.

Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:30am to 4:00pm, with occasional Saturdays during busy periods

**Salary**: £24k - £26k p/annum

**Responsibilities**
- Maintenance and cleaning of laboratory equipment, stock control, ordering laboratory supplies and general laboratory duties
- Collection, preparation and chemical analysis of samples
- Evaluation or raw materials
- Documenting, checking and reporting test results.
- Labelling and storing samples
- Preparing reagents
- Project work to improve product performance and to identity reasons for product failure
- Overseeing the Laboratorywhen the supervisor is on annual leave or away
- Following good laboratory practice

**Qualifications, experience and skills required**
- A degree of HND in Chemistry / Chemical Science with general chemistry knowledge
- Experience of chemical analysis and any analytical techniques such as ICP, XRF, AAF, HPLC would be an advantage
- Due to location, it is essential that you have a driving licence with access to a car
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Self motivation with attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
