Sellick partnership are currently assisting in the recruitment of a Renewable Energy Lead to join a newly created Asset sustainability team for a large social housing organisation based in Sunderland.

The aim of the role is to administer a high performing Solar PV contract whilst leading on developing the organisations 'clean heat strategy' as they continue to invest annually in improving their housing stocks energy efficiency.

**Responsibilities of the Renewable Energy lead**:

- Develop clean heat, low carbon, low-cost, affordable energy' solutions in line with the Asset Sustainability Strategy
- Operational management of the District Heating Networks, identifying efficiency improvements to maximise system performance and RHI income generation whilst maintaining regulatory compliance
- Deliver the Operational and Maintenance Contract Administration of the Empower Community (ECS) Solar PV in accordance with the Contract terms innovatively to maximise system performance and FiT income generation for ECS
- Support the operation, co-ordination, and successes of the ECS Community Fund Programme
- Implement a PV Operational and Maintenance Contract for the management of the Solar PV Portfolio to maximise system performance and FiT income generation for the organisation Including managing generation & metering; cleaning & meshing; roof top inspections;electrical testing; repairs and improvement ; corporate system reporting and management
- Implement an Operational and Maintenance Contract for the management of existing Solar Thermal systems collaboratively with Property colleagues
- Support improving the energy property data contained in MRI Orchard Housing Asset Management Database developing the stock condition data
- Support improving the stock energy data contained within Sava Intelligent Energy platform that provides insight and improvement planning for zero carbon
- Identify and source external funding opportunities relating to renewable, sustainable energy that delivers improvements in the energy efficiency performance across the housing portfolio in line with developed strategies

**Requirements of the Renewable Energy lead**:

- Comprehensive knowledge of housing and domestic energy efficiency data and building performance (SAP)
- Comprehensive knowledge of energy in buildings, how energy is used in domestic buildings and how its use can be reduced with insulation and more efficient heating systems
- Specific knowledge of Solar Photovoltaics (PV)
- Specific knowledge of Solar Thermal systems Please refer to job description / person specification for further information
