**Salary**: £35,115 + shift pay after induction/training

**What you’ll be doing**:

- Respond to all emergency situations within the airport licensed area
- Perform routine tests and inspections in all rescue and firefighting services equipment
- Participate in mandatory and routine training sessions applicable to the Firefighter role
- Carry out mandatory assessments applicable to the Firefighter role
- Maintain personal training and competence
- Carry out station and other duties
- Communicate effectively with others, whilst treating people with dignity and respect regardless of their background or culture

**Your skills and experiences**:
**Essential**:

- Recognised Firefighter qualification such as NVQ Level 3 Operational Firefighter or demonstrated competency as a Firefighter in either a recognised local authority or Aviation sector, CAP 699 or MOD
- GCSE in English, Maths and Science at Grade C or above or equivalent award
- A formally recognised Breathing Apparatus Wearer’s qualification
- Existing LGV (Large Goods Vehicle) Cat C Licence or willingness to pass LGV CAT C Licence course requirements once in the role
- Excellent standards of physical fitness and able to pass a full fire service medical
- Current First Aid certificate or equivalent
- Full UK driving licence

**Desirable**:

- Certificated Fire Extinguisher Maintenance and Fire Safety qualifications are desirable
- Working at Height & Confined Space Rescue
- Working in difficult environments i.e. mud rescue, water rescue awareness
- ERD (Emergency Response Driver)
