Project Co-ordinator

We are looking for an experienced individual to co-ordinate day to day delivery of the Best Years Project to include supervision of liaison officer, administration officer and recruitment and supervision of all volunteers who will provide emotional and practical support to individuals over the age of 65 with long term health conditions.
The successful applicant will have experience of managing and recruiting volunteers, an understanding of the structure of local health services and the local voluntary sector and a minimum of 3 years’ experience of managing a similar service or project.
**Duties**
- Monitor and allocate all referrals within the service
- Recruit and match volunteers with patients and or carers paying particular attention to individual needs
- Overall co-ordination of all groups and activities delivered by the service
- To develop new and existing contacts with local businesses, groups, colleges and schools with a view to recruitment and development of volunteers.
- To make presentations to local groups and organisations in relation to recruitment of volunteers, whilst raising awareness of the service in the local community
- To ensure staff and volunteers undertake induction and attend mandatory courses required for practice within the service and that Health and Safety guidance is adhered to by all volunteers
- To develop and or source relevant training programmes
- To provide regular & supervision to the volunteers & staff attached to the project
- Host regular support group for volunteers
- To maintain an up to date and accurate database of volunteers and service users working in the Butterfly service
The post is based at our office in Edwinstowe, Nottinghamshire

**Job Type**: Part-time
Pay: £28,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 28 per week
