Nursery practitioner

Overall job role 1. To deliver and ensure a high standard of learning, development and care for children aged 0-5 years.
2. To ensure that the setting is a safe environment for children, staff and others.

3. 3. To develop partnerships with parents/carers to increase involvement in their child’s development.
4. To take on the role of being a key person, observing, assessing and planning for each individual child

Duties 1. To support the manager with the effective daily running of the setting.

2. To have a sound knowledge of
Company policies, procedures, and expectations
3. To act as an excellent role model to the staff team and children.
4. To take responsibility for excellent hygiene, health and safety and security practice within the nursery

5. To play a part in planning and providing appropriate daily activities in line with guidance from the EYFS for your key children
6. To uphold the highest level of safeguarding practice and ensure company policies and procedures are always adhered to
7. To carry out observation, assessment, and planning, with your key children, ensuring all children are making progress
8. 8. To work with outside professionals where required
9. 9. To work closely with parents and create trusting relationships with all families

10. To work as part of the team within the setting

Qualifications (Essential) 1. Minimum level 3 in early years or equivalent

2. 2. Knowledge of the Early Years Sector
3. Good standard of English and Maths at

GCSE A-C or equivalent

Relevant experience and skills (Essential) 1. Experience of working in a nursery or similar environment

2. Experience of being a key person
3. Some knowledge of the Early Years

Foundation stage
4. Experience of working in a team

Personal style and behaviour (Essential) Excellent verbal communication skills with staff, children and parents

Essential Able to use written English to write reports and keep clear and accurate records Basic

**Salary**: From £10.00 per hour
