An exciting opportunity has arisen to support the Fracture Liaison Service; working alongside the established Fracture Liaison Specialist Nurse and Admin Lead at Bedford Hospital.

Part time/flexible working arrangements can be considered.
- To provide a complete administrative service including filing, composition of letters, the distribution of post and audio typing of clinical letters
- To co-ordinate clinics, appointment bookings and manage waiting lists
- Be the first point of contact for telephone enquiries
- To be responsible for continually updating the requirements of the National Osteoporosis Society (NOS) FLS database
- Support with administration related to DXA scans and liaise with relevant diagnostic departments and other wards.

To provide a complete administrative service including word processing, filing, composition of letters, and the distribution of internal and external post.

To provide audio typing of clinical letters and have knowledge of medical terminology.

Monitor and report compliance in relation to completion of the integrated FLS pathway directly to the specialist practitioner and escalate to the service manager any identified gaps in the agreed pathway and database.

To participate in the site surveillance national requirement for this group of patients.

To ensure the timely and accurate inputting of data on the national osteoporosis society database (FLS)

To update and maintain databases as required and liaise with the FLS practitioner/Service Manager to report any anomalies found in any patient data on the trust’s clinical systems, highlighting errors or concerns.

To co-ordinate clinics and appointment booking, cashing up of clinics and management of waiting lists.
