Are you looking for a challenge, are passionate about rehabilitation and have experience of working within an acute hospital ward setting? We are looking for a motivated and committed individual to join our thriving therapy family as a Rehabilitation Support Worker (RSW).
We have an exciting opportunity for a new band 3 RSW to join our growing Stroke and Neurology team at SWBH. This post would require you to provide rehabilitation for patients who have been diagnosed with a stroke or neurological condition.
You will work under the supervision of our qualified Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and practitioner staff with the aim of maximising patient recovery through completing treatment programmes (including individual exercised plans, exercise groups, functional task practice), complete equipment orders and referrals all with the goal of supporting recovery and helping patients to be ready to leave hospital.
You will work across the inpatient pathway, working under supervision of qualified therapists and working closely with nursing support workers to link therapy and nursing needs, ensuring every contact is meaningful and supports patient recovery.
You would be joining a supportive and innovative team with a well-established training program. You will receive regular supervision where future aspirations can and will be discussed and supported.
This is a static full time post (37.5 hours) across 7 days as per rota system working.
This job involves working within a supportive team within both the acute and community setting.
It will be an advantage if you have previous experience working in the acute setting and/or experience working within the speciality of stroke and neurology but this is not essential.
You will be required to maintain electronic documentation.
Be compassionate and caring and fulfil the SWBH Trust promises in every contact.
Manage your time effectively; ensuring that tasks are completed as requested in a timely manner.
