Laser Cutter Operator

Following investment and expansion of our busy and varied manufacturing workshop, Raaft have an exciting opportunity for a Laser Cutter Operator to join the team on our evening shift.

Raaft is an evolving and fast-growing company with a vision that our terrace systems will be the first choice for commercial terrace fit-out globally.

Working Monday to Friday 13:45 to 22:00, 41.25 hours per week, your responsibilities will be:

- Operation of the laser cutter machine
- Monitoring material stock and reporting shortages before they occur
- Minimising scrap
- Machine maintenance and log
- Managing your time and recording all work accurately on the time sheets provided
- Some Forklift truck driving as required
- Managing and working from issued drawings and signing off work as required
- Some site work as required from time to time
- Reporting H&S and process issues to the management team

You will be an excellent team player, able to work under pressure and you will have a “can do” attitude.

You will need:

- Full valid UK driving licence essential, with transport (due to location of workshop)
- Fork Truck Counterbalance licence would be an advantage but not essential
- Previous experience and knowledge of steel work would be an advantage but not essential
- Good standard of written and spoken English
- Physically fit and able to manage some heavy lifting

Pay: £14.16-£15.93 per hour
