**The Role**

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Northumbria Police’s Criminal Justice & Custody department as an Out of Court Coordinator on a secondment/fixed term basis. Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to improve the effectiveness of the Out of Court Disposals (OOCD), promoting their use across the force and coordinating the development of the conditional caution pathways and the community resolution and restorative justice interventions.

**What will I be doing?**

You will deliver and facilitate individual/group interventions to first time and low-level offenders across Northumbria using virtual platforms, delivering effective, creative and interactive sessions surrounding victim empathy and the consequences of crime.

Liaising with any other statutory, specialist organisation or agency you will provide support and advice for those undertaking the programme.

You will manage the administrative support of the OOCD programme, in respect of bookings, monitoring attendance and responding to referrals.

Manage and inform the key performance indicators of the role by providing management information and statistics including assessment of outcomes from analysis of data.

**What do I need?**
- Have excellent written and oral communication skills, in particular an ability to engage with a wide range of people and deliver presentations effectively and confidently
- Be able to write reports of a high standard and provide statistical data
- Have a sound understanding of the Criminal Justice System
- Have previous experience working with either offenders or victims and a comprehensive understanding of the impact of offending on victims of crime
- The post holder will be expected to travel as part of the role and must have access to transport.
