We are looking for a yard / stores person to be based in our depot in Blaydon to be responsible for our materials and plant in our stores, warehouse and our external yard areas.

Reporting to our Plant and Procurement Manager, you will also be responsible for ensuring the yard and stores are kept tidy and well organised and that our works teams are turned around quickly and efficiently in our depot. You will need a flexible and adaptable attitude to work and be self motivated to ensure the yard and stores are a safe, tidy, organised work area.

This role is crucial to our operation. You must be happy to work outside in all weather, take pride in your work and your working area. You must be organised, be able to follow instruction as well as being able to use your own initiative and work unsupervised, with manual handling being a key part of your role.

Experience operating a forklift and experience within a warehouse / store yard is essential. You must have a driving licence, good attention to detail & a good level of both written and verbal communication skills. Experience of operating a Mini Excavator is beneficial but not essential.

This position includes some weekend working and the occasional slightly later finish to cover annual leave.

The working hours are 5:45am to 4pm, Monday to Friday.

20 days annual leave plus bank holidays.

**Salary**: £120.00 per day
