**This is the job**:
Joining The AA as a DevSecOps Lead, you’ll be responsible for the delivery of all DevSecOps initiatives and will closely collaborate with skilled software engineers, architects, and product teams to design and build foundational toolsets and capabilities that allow our teams to quickly bring new features to market.

You’ll also own, design, and implement the DevSecOps Strategy and Patterns across the teams within our Digital function. Within the role, you will line manage a medium sized team of offshore partner resources and permanent team members as well as working cross-functionally within the wider business.

**What will I be doing?**:

- Work closely with the solution architects, developers and product teams to drive the design and development of high-quality technical solution deployments of DevSecOps principles (incl. production, test and dev environments)
- Establish a governance process around Security of the estate and Cloud cost utilization
- Provide quantified delivery estimates for assigned changes & projects. This will include challenging estimates provided by external development partners. Manages demand as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
- Manage all assigned DevOps projects or continuous improvement activities within change initiatives, projects, or programme to fully meet the defined functional and non-functional requirements within budget and timescale
- “Hands on” development and peer reviews as required, exercising troubleshooting and methodical diagnostic skills to resolve issues. On occasion, you may be expected to provide an ‘out of hours’ service for business-critical issues
- Review requirements, functional specifications, architectural designs and testing strategies. Recommends alternative technical solutions to meet DevSecOps requirements more efficiently, ensuring greater standardisation and reusability. Recognizes system deficiencies and implements effective solutions

**What do I need?**:
**We love tech**
- Strong DevOps and Security background utilising various Cloud platforms, AWS in particular
- Demonstrable Technical Manager with the ability to deliver on DevSecOps strategies and processes
- Thorough understanding of Version control solutions, specifically Git/GitHub/Azure Repos
- CI/CD tooling experience i.e., AWS Suite - CodeBuild, Codepipelines, CodeDeploy, Azure DevOps, Azure Pipelines
- Containerisation orchestration, specifically, ECS and Kubernetes

- Strong communicator and collaborator with the ability to confidently discuss/present to varying stakeholder levels
- Broader knowledge and understanding of wider IT Teams i.e., IT Operations, Development, and IT Service
