**ASSISTANT MERCHANDISER**
**Merchandising & Supply Chain | Hybrid | Permanent**
**Overview**
Our Merchandising and Supply Chain Department has an exciting and rare opportunity for a full time Assistant Merchandiser to join them. This role will be responsible for supporting the Merchandising team to maximise commercial opportunities through effective inventory management, driving sales through improved availability and forecasting and reducing mark down and maximizing profit.
**All About You**
This will be an ideal role for someone who has previous experience within Merchandising and who has the relevant practical experience and knowledge. Your attention to detail will be meticulous and you will thrive on opportunities to utilise your problem-solving capabilities. You will be incredibly brand aware and will enjoy working collaboratively with other functions of the business e.g. Finance and Design, as well as building good solid external relationships e.g. with suppliers.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Support Head of Merchandising and Supply Chain with forecasting for Retail & Trade sales volumes, considering promotional activity, new ranges, and seasonal planning.
- Assist with monthly supplier performance meetings, which also includes but is not limited to providing forecasts, updating production planners and an overview on open orders.
- Supporting the department with management of all aspects of the teams KPI's.
- Responsible for updating monthly forecasts and highlighting risks and rewards.
- Making sure stock levels adhere to forecast planning through the seasonal calendar. From order placements through to delivery, you will ensure effective critical path management.
- In line with seasonal range reviews, assist Design & Finance with updating Master-data for new season launches as well as the wider product offering. Ensuring all information is correctly attributed in the system.
- Work with the Merchandise Allocator to control inventory levels, allocations, and replenishment for all sales channels.
- Responsible for creating and presenting proposed promotional campaigns, working closely with Marketing to ensure they follow the company strategy.
- Work closely with Marketing and E-Commerce to ensure stock is aligned across all digital and social assets.
**Experience, Requirements & Attributes**
- A minimum of 2 years prior experience working in a Merchandising role.
- Ability to learn and master new systems.
- Strong prioritisation, time management skills with the ability to muti-task.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to manage stock and sales budget.
- Must be passionate about product with avid market and brand awareness.
- Computer skills & knowledge of spreadsheets, presentation software
- Exceptional customer awareness and understanding.
- Passion for home interiors and lifestyle is an advantage.
