Job Introduction
Landmarc Support Services currently have an exciting opportunity for a Training Area Operative to join the team at Tregantle Fort, in Cornwall.

As the Training Area Operative, you will play a key part in helping to maintain a safe, efficient and sustainable place for our Armed Forces to train, this pivotal role is essential to the delivery of the contract.

We are looking for someone who is keen to learn new skills and bring an enthusiastic willingness to learn, Landmarc will provide full training.

This role is being offered on a Permanent basis, covering 37 hours per week. There will be a requirement to work some weekends, this is reflected in our Variable Days Allowance.

Main Responsibilities
Preparing military ranges and training areas for use

Maintenance works on the range and training area

Grounds maintenance such as; fencing, mowing and strimming

Handover and take back of Training Estate facilities

Direct, support and advise Training Estate users both civilian and military

Operation and maintenance of plant and equipment (training will be provided)

Driving and operating vehicles

Use both IT and paper based systems to complete any relevant documentation

Carry out any other additional requirements as needed

Excellent knowledge of Health & Safety, COSHH, manual handling, risk assessments and safe systems of work

Excellent communicator with people on all levels

Basic labouring, caretaking and DIY skills

Work in a diverse multi-tasking team environment

Ability to operate plant machinery (desirable)

Basic IT skills

Willingness to undertake further training

Must hold a full valid UK driving licence (essential)
