Our client is based in York, offering tailored services for individuals and businesses and they are looking for a Bookkeeper to join the team based in York. Our client is a successful chartered accountancy practice based in York. They are a team of accountancyprofessionals who are passionate about inspiring clients and colleagues to be the best they can be. They are committed to providing a first-class customer experience that exceeds expectations. We are seeking an Bookkeeper to join their busy team.

**The Role -**

You will be working within a team of accountant professionals providing first class customer service to a portfolio of clients. The duties & responsibilities you will undertake are:

- Day to day servicing of a portfolio of SME businesses and their owners
- Accounts Preparation
- Production of monthly management accounts
- Vat Returns
- Payroll and bookkeeping when required

We would like to speak with positive and supportive individuals who have excellent communication skills and the determination to succeed and exceed expectations. You will ideally have the following skills and qualifications:

- Accounts Assistant experience of working in a busy Practice
- Commitment to delivering outstanding customer service
- Exceptional communication, organisational and management skills
- A positive, supportive attitude
- The ability to work as part of a team
- Good technical knowledge
- Working knowledge of Iris practice software
- Working knowledge of one of the major proprietary bookkeeping packages
- Good skills in Word, Excel and Outlook
