**Job Purpose**
Solicitor within the Construction department to carry out and be responsible for day-to-day conduct of construction and property related matters.
**Construction Solicitor Responsibilities**:

- Development of contentious construction practice within the Firm.
- Responsible for the day-to-day related work inclusive of arbitration, adjudication and litigation
- Meet agreed billing targets
- Assist colleagues within the department with contentious and non-contentious case files
- Exhibiting flexibility, particularly in times of holiday/sickness
- Maintaining a highly level of client care, acting promptly, pro-actively and efficiently in relation to all client matters
- Supervision of all support staff working immediately for you
- Continuous development of knowledge and expertise via appropriate training
- Business development and marketing in relation to Construction
Your job title does not define or limit your duties and you may be required to carry out other work within your abilities from time to time at our request.

**Construction Solicitor Requirements**:

- Solicitor of FCILEx qualified or relevant substantial experience in conveyancing
- Ideally 5 years + PQE
- Experience within Construction
- Possess a detailed understanding of Construction Law
- Ability to maintain and build upon existing client relationships
- Self-organised and proactive
- Ability to take responsibility and solve problems
- Attention to detail
- Ability to maintain client confidentiality
- Adaptable to the needs of the business as changes occur during the operational requirements
- Competent in the effective use of Information and Communications Technologies (ICT)
- The ability to prioritise, meet deadlines, and work under pressure in a fast paced, high volume department
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
- Appropriate DBS disclosure will be required prior to confirmation of appointment
- Right to live and work in the UK e.g. valid UK passport or appropriate visa/work permits
