**The Role**

Key purpose of the role is to ensure the effective and efficient day-to-day management/supervision of any of the property services disciplines.

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

- lead a team whose main functions are to inspect, identify and quantify repair works, carry out inspections.
- be responsible for the timely preparation, letting and management of capital investment schemes, programmed and cyclical works, and responsive repairs on the Council's property portfolio.
- Assist in the compilation, proper operation and control of the budgets within the post holder's remit.

To be considered for this role you will require to be educated to degree level (or equivalent) in Building Surveying and experience in general building surveying and the ability to diagnose complex repairs.

The below skills would be essential for the role:

- Working knowledge of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2007 relating to maintenance and construction works
- Experience in the management of contracts and contractors
- Experience in the preparation of building maintenance contracts

The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering **£20 - £22 per hour Umbrella LTD Inside IR35**.
