Head of Music

We are seeking to appoint a dynamic, ambitious and passionate teacher to join our Creative and Performing Arts team as Head of Music. We are looking for someone who is an excellent teacher and musician who can promote their love of music to our students at Woolmer Hill and also within the wider community. This post would suit a teacher looking for their first leadership position, or equally an experienced leader.

As part of a multi academy trust there are many opportunities for collaboration and sharing of good practice across the member schools. This is an ideal opportunity for the successful postholder to be involved in working with other music teacher across the trust. For example, our school jazz band and vocalists visited Amsterdam in May 2023 to perform with students and staff from another school within our Trust.

We are looking for:

- an excellent teacher of music with a genuine passion and interest in music and an inspirational role model for young people
- the ability to form excellent relationships with students, and all stakeholders
- a driven and motivated professional who works hard and always strives to ensure students have the very best learning experience in music
- willing to contribute to, and passionate about creating opportunities for students to perform and excel in all areas of school, including enrichment activities

We are situated in a fantastic location on the outskirts of Haslemere. Haslemere lies in Surrey, on the border with Hampshire and West Sussex and we have excellent road and rail links to neighbouring counties. We are situated just 3 minutes’ drive off the main A3 and we are also fortunate to have a train station in Haslemere on the mainline from Portsmouth to London Waterloo. This makes us very accessible from the South Coast or outer London areas by train or car.

- WMAT Scale £31,350 to £47,839 (London fringe)**TLR**
