Our client who is based in the Edinburgh area a temporary Project Manager for a period of 6 months. This role is within IR35 with a daily rate between £285 to £315.
Working hours will be Monday to Friday, with an element of Hybrid working.
Basic disclosure, enhanced disclosure to be applied for upon appointment
**Main Duties**
This Project Manager role is to ensure an integrated 1-project plan approach, utilising appropriate software packages, is in place across all aspects of a Glasgow Project. This approach will integrate previously separate work roles e.g., estates and operations,and will ensure governance and financial accountability in line with the requirements of the accountable officer and IDM / SRO roles.
**Key responsibilities of the role include**:

- Undertake the ongoing drafting of the business cases for these projects (including benefits realisation), along with, where relevant, the project mandate and project initiation documents. This will include the completion of the documents and/or the managementof iterations, working in partnership with stakeholders to undertake this.
- Preparing accurate and comprehensive highlight reports on the delivery of the projects, to the required standard and timescale, to meet agreed project governance requirements. This includes the preparation requirements for any Gateway reviews.
- Devise, monitor and manage the overall timelines for these projects, and liaise with all parties involved to ensure that tasks are completed on time.
- Provide early escalation and sight, of any project issues and risks which may jeopardise completion of any part of the project. Keep the risk and issue logs current and updated and actively seek any interdependencies to be controlled.
- Support document and data management and set-up the required structures and procedures for data management and document version control for each project.
- Produce clear reports and briefings and respond and/or contribute to Ministerial Correspondence, Parliamentary Questions, FOI requests, Subject Access Requests and any other official correspondence as required.

**Key Skills**:

- Qualified to degree level, or equivalent or appropriate experience in relation to project and/or programme management.
- High level of co-ordination skills to ensure initial construction of plan and governance mechanisms for project management are in place.
- Experience in developing and population specialised software (e.g., Project) to populate project plans and build reporting mechanisms.
- The ability to analyse complex information and translate this onto planning and monitoring software.
- Proven experience in the successful delivery of projects to time, budget, and quality to shape and deliver common goals.
- Proven experience in the provision of project advice to Senior Management.
- Planning, Implementation and Control - You establish a plan which you are then able to prioritise, effectively time manage to deliver a series of concurrent tasks to ensure full on-time implementation.
- Issue Identification and Analysis - You can analyse information to determine themes, problems, and issues for which appropriate actions and strategies are implemented to resolve, as necessary.
- Prince2 Practitioner qualification.
