We are a small Primary School in the Shibden Valley looking to employ an enthusiastic and committed Midday Supervisor to join our lunchtime team at this friendly school

Visits to the school are welcomed. Please ring to make an appointment.

Main duties and responsibilities:
Supervise pupils in the lunch hall. Assist in clearing away and tidying the eating area. Supervise pupils after they have eaten their lunch, either inside or in the school playground, being especially vigilant as to the health and safety and security of the pupils in your care and in accordance with the school behaviour policy. Ensure reasonable behaviour and safe conduct of pupils by maintaining good order and discipline, dealing with all incidents in the appropriate manner.

PERSON SPECIFACTION

The applicant should have the following qualities:
Experience working with children and an empathy with understanding of children in the age range concerned. An ability to be assertive when necessary and have the ability to understand and follow relevant procedures, e.g. health and safety, child protection (including issues regarding restraint), school behaviour policy. Applicants should have good interpersonal communication skills.
