**About us**

Glasgow University Union's HIVE and Well are some of the leading clubs in the West end of Glasgow. We aim to provide fun and engaging nights for the students of Glasgow University. We run our club nights every Wednesday and Thursday during term time and play different music in each of our rooms.

Disc Jockey

**Duties**:

- Prepare and organize music playlists for either of our night clubs, Well or Hive
- Set up and operate DJ equipment including turntables, mixers and speakers as well as lights, lasers and smoke machine to match the music
- Create smooth transitions between songs and maintain a seamless flow of music throughout the nigh
- Read the crowd and adjust the music selection to keep the audience engaged and entertained
- Coordinate with us as we run themed nights as well as be willing to play different genres of music should it be required
- Stay up-to-date with current music trends, popular songs, and genres

**Skills**:

- Strong knowledge of different music genres and ability to create diverse playlists
- Proficient in using DJ equipment and software
- Excellent mixing skills to create smooth transitions between songs

Our club nights run on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10pm - 2am. Even if you are only able to play one of these days, if you have a passion for music, excellent DJ skills, and enjoy creating memorable experiences for guests, we would love to hear from you.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 8 per week

**Salary**: £27.24-£50.00 per hour
