Job Overview:
**Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for the supervision of loading / unloading of trailers collecting from our customers and ensuring the maximum utilisation of our fleet of vehicles
- Supervise and lead a team of drivers and warehouse staff, providing guidance and support
- Main point of contact with our inhouse fleet technicians and FLT drivers
- Actively manage a Fleet of 15, 18t trucks & trailers
- Monitor driver performance, ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies
- Resolve any transportation issues or delays promptly to minimise disruptions
- Liaise with customer services to address queries or concerns regarding deliveries
- Utilise computer software such as Microsoft Word and Excel for data entry and reporting
- Being trusted to ensure all aspects of Health and Safety legislation are strictly adhered to, near miss reporting and emergency procedures

**Skills**:

- 3+ years - Ideally have pallet network experience however general transport / Logistics experience will be considered
- CPC Domestic competency desired
- LGV Class 2 minimum requirement
- FLT Licence is desirable but training would be given
- Excellent driving skills with a valid Full UK driving licence
- Ability to effectively manage a team of drivers and FLT staff
- Strong customer service orientation with good communication skills
- Knowledge of transport legislation. Strong knowledge of the local area. The ability to work within a commercially driven and time-critical environment.
- Fluent in English for clear communication with team members and customers

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £27,000.00-£33,000.00 per year
